Welcome to the wonderful world of boudoir photography! As a photographer, and your new bestie, it’s my mission to capture your beauty, confidence, and essence in every shot. And what better way to do that than by spending an entire day together in my 800 SF studio in Raritan NJ? Let’s dive into the flow of a boudoir photoshoot and see what you can expect during your session with me.
Preparation
Before your photoshoot, we’ll have a consultation to discuss your vision, preferences, and any concerns you may have. We’ll also talk about wardrobe options and access to my client closet, which is stocked with a variety of lingerie, bodysuits, robes, and accessories to suit different styles and sizes. You can also be enjoying full glam makeup and hair services, which are provided by my professional team.
Arrival
When you arrive at the studio, we’ll take a few minutes to breathe and then you’ll hop into your glam session. My amazing team of makeup and hair artists will consult with you and build a look based on your preferences. After that, you’ll have a chance to change into your first outfit and get comfortable in front of the camera. You can even snap a couple of selfies! We’ll start with some simple poses and gradually build up to more challenging ones as you become more relaxed and confident.
Posing
As we move through the shoot, I’ll guide you through different poses and angles to showcase your favorite features and create a variety of images. I’ll also provide feedback and coaching to help you feel more comfortable and confident in front of the camera. You don’t need to be a model or have any experience in posing – I’ll take care of everything and make sure you look amazing.
Lighting
One of the most important elements of boudoir photography is lighting. I use a combination of natural light and artificial light to create a soft, flattering effect on your skin and enhance your natural beauty. I also adjust the lighting to fit the mood and style of each set, whether it’s a bright and neon look or a sultry and moody vibe.
Private Viewing
After the shoot, we’ll take a break while I select the best images from the session and do a preliminary edit. Then, we’ll have a private viewing where you can see your photos for the first time and choose your favorites for your album or wall art. I’ll guide you through the process of selecting the images that truly capture your essence and make you feel confident and beautiful. This is truly the best part, seeing yourself through my lens is a new and exciting experience that affirms, “Yes, I AM super freaking HOT!”
